Changes in points test system
DIBP has announced 5 extra points for those people who has completed Masters by research or PHD
This will require 2 year study as a minimum in Australia and would be initially limited to people studying
- Science
- Technology
- Engineering
- Mathematics
- Information and communication Technology
This will effect significantly for visa Subclass 189 190 and 489. People who has done Masters by Research in Australia from now on one of the above field can claim upto 30 points towards points test. 30 points will include 25 points for Doctorate and 5 points for satisfying 2 years study rule.
