Perth most likely to be removed from RSMS list
As Mr Bill Shorten has told “The West Australian” today that he would support Mc Gowan’s plan to have Perth removed from Skilled migration program that used to bring overseas worker from overseas to Western Australia, people from Perth may not be eligible to lodge RSMs application if Labor wins the state election in March 2017.
WA labor party has made it clear that they will remove Perth from having RSMS status if they win the state election. Considering the poll result and odds at the moment, they are most likely to win the election. This would affect many applicants who are intending to apply for RSMS.
RSMS (Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme) is a migration scheme, where employer can sponsor their employee who has eligible Australian qualification or equivalent and English language capacity of IELTS each band 6. This scheme has been the easiest and quickest way to obtain Permanent Residency for applicants in Perth from popular occupations including cook, restaurant manager or retail manager.
